Bert Baker, Matt Roberts, Scott Hall, Dewayne Kaufholz and Willie Glover form the Group "VOICE" with the mission of using the talents that God has given them to testify and proclaim Jesus.
With Bert on guitar, Matt on bass, Scott on drums, Dewayne on lead guitar, and Willie on keyboards, you get a sense of some of the bands influences, such as Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and Steven Curtis Chapman. The mix of contemporary and classic rock is reminiscent of The Eagles and Tom Petty. Voice combines original lyrics and melodies with each member contributing their talents to the play list. Each song is an inspiration and delivers a powerful message.
One coffee house review described the sound of Voice as "a uinque blend of various contemporary music styles which is enjoyed by people of all ages".
Voice was established in late 2006 and is quickly becoming a recognized name. Voice has played at events and youth retreats for various churches and organizations up and down the East Coast from Alabama to New Jersey. They are regular fixtures at the Filling Station in Georgetown, SC; Columbia After Dark, Columbia, SC and The Fortress at Ft. Jackson, SC. Voice's mission is to proclaim God's message of hope and salvation through music.
